PRESS RELEASE
Weekend Operations
During the coming weekend, due to the fact that the MV Malita will still be at the Yard for its annual dry docking, the Company shall be providing the scheduled Mgarr/Cirkewwa service with the remaining two vessels – the MV Ta’ Pinu and the MV Gaudos, supported by the MV Calypso.
Being a long weekend, heavy traffic is anticipated. In order to minimise the inconvenience, Gozo Channel will be mobilizing its vessels to be able to operate a shuttle service from mid morning to late evening between Thursday and Sunday, as and when required. In such a case, the scheduled times may not be adhered to during those times.
Whilst the Company will be doing its best to provide the best service, the waiting time that may be experienced by our customers may be slightly more than usual due to the expected heavy demand. In this respect the co-operation of the public is being called for. Furthermore, we urge our customers to purchase their return ticket from the booth at Cirkewwa on their ongoing journey, so that access to the marshalling area on their return will be quicker, thereby making the process of boarding more efficient.
We apologize for any inconvenience the increased waiting time may cause to our customers due to the heavy traffic anticipated, but we can assure our customers that all efforts will be employed so that any inconvenience will be minimized.
