 PRESS RELEASE |
24/05/2007 |
Gozo Channel Company Limited would like to inform its esteemed clientele that works will be carried out on the MV Malita at the Malta Shipyards and will not be in operation until the end of week ending 8th June 2007.
During this docking period cargo trips to and from Sa Maison will be temporarily suspended. Operators are kindly requested to use the Cirkewwa port in the interim period.
Three (3) additional trips will be added to its weekday schedule to make up for the shortfall in capacity as explained: • The 06:45 trip from both Cirkewwa and Mgarr will be substituted by two trips at 06:30 and 07:00 hours, • The two early afternoon trips scheduled at 12:15 and 13:15 hours will be replaced with four trips, performed instead at 12:00, 12:30, 13:00 and 13:30 hours.
A shuttle service will also be provided if demand so necessitates. .
During weekends an additional trip will be introduced in the early afternoon which will allow trips to be spaced out over 45 minute intervals. This means that the trips which usually are operated between 12:15 and 13:15 will be replaced with trips at 12:00, 12:45, 13:30 hours.
The above arrangements will remain operational until the MV Malita returns to service.
Whilst wishing to reassure all that Gozo Channel is doing its utmost to render a safe, reliable and timely service, we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
