NEW LOOK FOR GOZO CHANNEL EMPLOYEES

Commuters boarding the Gozo Channel ferries on their way to Gozo or back to Malta cannot help noticing crew members including seamen, customer care officials, mooring men and ticket sellers at the terminals wearing new uniforms. The introduction of these new uniforms is part of Gozo Channel’s commitment to enhance its image and customer service being offered to all commuters both on shore and on the vessels.

Speaking about this new initiative, Mr Marvic Fenech Adami, General Manager, Gozo Channel stated that “most employees have been following a number of courses ranging from customer relations to life saving procedures. However, we felt the need of a change in image because the employees’ image reflects that of their company. This has led Gozo Channel to introduce a set of new uniforms. In fact, all seamen aboard are now wearing a dark blue shirt with a turquoise collar whilst the bosuns, who supervise all operations on board have been given a light blue shirt with a dark blue collar. Terminal assistants as well as baggage trailer drivers have a turquoise shirt with a dark blue collar.”

Mr Fenech Adami added that “even the ticket sellers at the Mgarr terminal’s ticketing booths are now wearing new uniforms consisting of yellow shirts and black trousers, whilst customer care officials aboard the vessels have colourful summer shirts and a blue straw hat. In planning all the new uniforms, we have also retained Gozo Channel’s renowned colours blue and yellow.”
